Born as the sole heir to a conglomerate in Rustboro City, her childhood was spent in a large estate being trained on business pursuits rather than making bonds with other children. Her father only made things worse by hurling verbal abuse of insults and anger whenever she made a mistake, causing the young girl to grow distant from the rest of her peers at the Trainers School. She was pressured to continue the legacy of the past Hoennese Emperors intermarried with a Draconid lady and though the girl feared she wouldn’t be able to make friends, the heiress bore the burden of being the heir to her family’s lineage and the entire corporation.

At the girl’s tenth birthday, her mother encouraged her to bond with a Pokemon. Amy was given a Poochyena as a companion to help her open up as the two became fast friends. Soon, the Poochyena evolved to a Mightyena to protect her from those who called her names. She convinced her father that her Mightyena was a Pokemon she really trusted to protect her back as the man would begrudgingly allow the dark type to keep watch over his daughter. The years pass with the young lady being able to watch contests and making up her own appeals, she learned of Rayquaza’s departure from Hoenn over to a newer region called Hurricane.

Unfortunately, she had to leave her beloved Mightyena behind at home, but she promised to come back to see him at some point. The heiress would leave for the Hurricane region with a suitcase of clothes, but not before her mother would give her some spare pairs of her purple colored hair ribbons for the young lady to always think of her.
